my labyrinth #4: our projections, mr. poetic, a man in a teacup, and how do you listen?
enjoy the ride while i sit in my recliner
Hello everyone, I hope you had a wonderful week! Here is a journey into my labyrinth…I hope this provides you with something to contemplate.
This week, let’s start with another one of my creative forms of expression…
As well as some of my journal thoughts that I found impactful in my own life…enjoy the thoughts with a touch of poetic inspiration:)
Then stay tuned for the more personal endeavor at the end of this week’s post…
Also, a wonderful quote to ponder…
“how do you listen? Do you listen with your projections, through your projection, through your ambitions, desires, fears, anxieties, through hearing only what you want to hear, only what will be satisfactory, what will gratify, what will give comfort, what will for the moment alleviate your suffering? If you listen through the screen of your desires, then you obviously listen to your own voice; you are listening to your own desires.” — J. Krishnamurti
My favorite conspiracy theory is that everything will be okay.
(but maybe it will)
So everything will be okay (maybe).
We fear being wrong. And it’s that fear which leads us to dogmatically follow positions because being wrong sends us back into a state of fear.
Once something becomes accepted by the mind, whether it’s a conspiracy, political ideology, religion, or scientific theory…we start creating a strong belief around its validity. This belief makes us feel safe…providing us a sense of sanity.
It’s the perception of security within our beliefs that have us desiring a veil of ignorance. And our minds are happy to provide us with many false narratives to maintain our ignorance.
As Socrates said…
“There is only one good, knowledge, and one evil, ignorance.”
When we enter the void and make the return…that’s when we begin truly finding ourselves.
Embrace the void…
journey into the mind #3: the special k

I do not promote the use of any illegal substances. I expect people to make responsible choices based on the research we have on hand. This is purely for educational purposes.
Note to paying subscribers…part of this post has been sent out twice this week (on accident/on purpose)…I didn’t see the new substack feature that I wanted to take advantage of :)
I went in the hole….
The Summary: I felt like a nameless mind in an endless stream of consciousness (hello to the man in the teacup).
Visuals, not very intense—as in the color—it was like a techno journey while sitting in a recliner (comfy).
I was purely in my mind for most of it.
Everything felt extremely robotic and mechanical, as though everything was built in share curves, even myself. Not in a scary way, just an interesting way.
At one point I was laying in my bed, eyes closed, and I felt as though I was being teleported somewhere else—another dimension. My bed began spinning, faster, and faster—not in a nauseating way. I was ready for the teleportation.
